H1N1 (Swine) Flu Vaccine: We have received out 1st shipment of the new H1N1 (Swine) Flu vaccine. This is the intranasal "Flumist" vaccine that is approved for people 2 years of age and older with no Risk factors. For now we are only vaccinating patients from 2 years to 24 years and parents of babies under 6 months. Please call now to schedule an appointment. We do anticipate receiving the injectable vaccine approved for our 6 month olds and up in November. Please continue to check our website for updates.
On weekends if your child is sick and you need to see a doctor, please call our office. If it is closed (Sundays & holidays) call the after hours phone number at 323-5465.
At the 2 week check-up, the Texas State Newborn Metabolic Screen is done. In addition, the Baylor Supplemental Newborn Screen can be done. This screen tests for additional metabolic disease not included in the state screen. The cost of this screen is $45.00.
