Laura Chesley was born and raised in Atlanta, Georgia. She attended the University of Georgia where she received her Bachelor of Science Degree in Biology and Psychology in 2006. During college she went to Ecuador and worked with a physician treating children in the capital city of Quito. Dr. Chesley attended medical school at Medical College of Georgia in Augusta, Georgia, graduating in 2011.
After completion of medical school she moved to Norfolk, Virginia where she completed her pediatric residency at Children’s Hospital of The King’s Daughters in 2014. During residency she made several international trips to provide pediatric medical care, including travel to Belize and Haiti.
After completion of residency she moved to Fort Lewis, Washington to be with her husband, Patrick, a military service member. She worked as a Pediatrician at Madigan Army Medical Center prior to moving to Texas. With lots of family in the area they are happy to call Texas home and look forward to settling in the area with their 9 month-old son.
Dr. Chesley is certified by the American Board Pediatrics and is a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics. Her interests in pediatrics include breastfeeding and adolescent medicine.
